Leo Turns 9 Today!

He is NINE years old today! Our boy’s last year in single digits, and boy has he grown up a lot this year! He’s longer and lankier, for sure. (He outgrew all his clothes but isn’t quite old enough to get excited about the gift of an all-new wardrobe.) Even more, he’s growing stronger and more mature! Long hikes and technical climbs are his forte. His energy is endless, but it’s going to good use! As the “baby” of the family with two doting sisters, it’d be easy to demand his own way. Instead he plays the gentleman (usually!), carrying his sisters’ daypacks or holding the door for Mom. He thrives on approval and attention from Dad. So their occasional father-son outings (to fish or bike) are very special, and Leo is learning quickly to be the protector of his family. Imagine! All this growth in less than a decade! He is truly inspiring us all to reach farther and grow more in the precious years ahead. We love you, Leo!
