The Blumes
A bearded man wearing a black t-shirt with a white logo, khaki shorts, and hiking boots is standing in the arched entrance of a historic building in Antigua, Guatemala. The building has a yellow stucco exterior and features a clock tower with a bell. The man is carrying a camera monopod and a bag, suggesting he is a photographer or videographer. Behind him, the cobblestone street is lined with other colonial-style buildings, and people can be seen walking in the background. The sky is blue with scattered clouds, indicating a beautiful day for exploring the picturesque city.

Exploring Antigua on Inauguration Day

A gorgeous day today to explore Antigua, Guatemala -- a city of colorful walls and hidden gardens, and a world heritage site. I have been here many times over the years, and it still feels romantic and special. Today is Inauguration Day for the new president, Jimmy Morales! (Setting up the stage for it across the street from me now.) I'm here to put the finishing touches on a video project for the non-profit we're partnered with here, Engadi International. Traveling light today: just #Nikon #D800 #Rode shotgun and #ZoomH1 for audio, plus my trust #Manfrotto fluid-head monopod, all attached to my #SpiderHolster to take off the weight! Antigua, a tourist city, certainly is the lighter side amidst a lot of darkness we have seen this visit. But so much hope, too -- thanks to Engadi's life-giving work here and a volunteer team whom I've been honored to work alongside and document this week. It will honestly be hard to say goodbye to them tomorrow, then one more week of work here until I return to my studio in the U.S. I truly cannot wait to share with you the stories I have seen here!
