Celebrating Seven Years of Marriage

Today represents SEVEN WONDERFUL YEARS with this beautiful, strong, and patient woman. I say "wonderful" because -- more than "exciting" or "happy" or "fun" -- wonder really defines marriage I think. For example, I'm still full of wonder every day about things like "What is she thinking?" and "What did I do?" Seriously, marriage is not good only because it can make us HAPPY, but because it has the ability to refine us and make us HOLY. Basically, our marriage -- the compromise, the kids, and everything that comes with it -- has taught me just how selfish I really am. And the love and care of my wife has helped me to move past myself and see others like never before. I'm thankful for that. And I'm thankful for you, @eileenmblume. I love you. By the way, I promise next year we can spend our anniversary alone -- instead of on a 9-hour road trip with toddlers, or sharing a hotel room with your mother (twice). #maybenextyear #HappyAnniversary!
