Safety First - Even for Dogs

Barkley, the official mascot of Second Chance Ohana is showing off his mama’s safety glasses as a reminder to you to always wear your safety gear. No matter how small your project is, no matter how simple the task is, wear your safety gear! Then maybe you won’t break a couple of toes while sanding a chair in your garage.⠀ ⠀ True story, I broke 2 toes a couple of weeks ago. I was wearing sandals as I was pushing a folding table out of the way, it had a piece of heavy furniture sitting on top of it. One end of the table gave way and the table legs near me, shot up and yanked two toes out of place. I’m doing okay but it definitely slowed me down for a week and I still have a couple more weeks of wearing a special boot. But, I learn lessons fast. I won’t do a single task in the garage now without at least tennis shoes on.⠀ ⠀
