Weekend Getaway in Savannah
Weekend in Savannah without Kids! 🌳🏛️🚙. - A Top 10 of the year for me.
🤩I’m celebrating significant things from the past year, and our first no-kid trip in years definitely counts.
{Save this for your Savannah vacation!}
Only 3.5 hours from our home, a wet weekend from the start, but we still explored:
🔹Live oak trees draped in Spanish moss
🔹Tree-lined squares and statues
🔹Nighttime wandering along the river and lit-up historic houses
🔹Beautiful churches and fountains…
🔹Famous tree-lined @bonaventura Cemetery
🔹Indoor @telfairmuseums on a rainy day. And get in free with reciprocity.
🛑Watch out for those wet cobblestone streets though! Slippery stuff.
And we made some new favorite Savannah restaurants! There are so many to choose from.
🤩Highlight of Greg’s trip: our Italian meal at Bella Napoli. @bellanapolisav
🍨Ice cream from Leopold’s (late night snack!) @leopolds_ic
🥢Chinese from Flying Monk Noodle Bar - mmm. It got crowded! @theflyingmonknoodlebar
🍔Treylor Park - Where else can you get a grilled apple pie chicken sandwich? Yum! @treylorparkrestaurants
🏠And we stayed for free (with points!) at Hyatt Regency Savannah. It’s a perfect hotel in downtown Savannah with an amazing rooftop view. @hyattregencysavannah
When in Savannah…
You wander and soak up slow Southern life.
Leave the kids at home.
And enjoy it. ❤️

Maybe our grown-up weekend is one of my new favorite yearly traditions.
(Who wants that youngest kid for the weekend? 😉 )
❓Tell me where to go driving distance from Atlanta this Spring. Charleston maybe?
