Visiting Edison and Ford's Neighboring Homes
History cane alive again today when we met Thomas Edison and Henry Ford at their neighboring houses in Fort Myers. When Edison set up his winter home, Ford visited and moved in next door. Visiting here is much closer than going way up north!

The houses were beautiful - I need those porches! - but we loved all the plants Edison brought in from around the world for his experiments for natural fibers and rubber. I never thought of him as a chemist, but his massive laboratory would sure say otherwise.

The museum alone could take hours... We were pretty much the only people there under the age of sixty 🤓 Take your kids places and learn things!

Museum reciprocity for the win BTW - free places all over the map when you join your home museum. Saves $90. 😁
