Reclaiming Wonders
A young woman with long blonde hair is standing in a vast, open field, her back turned towards the camera. In the distance, a large herd of cattle can be seen standing together, their dark silhouettes contrasting against the bright, hazy blue sky. The field is barren, with scattered patches of dried grass and dirt. The scene has a rustic, pastoral feel, evoking a sense of wide-open spaces and tranquility.

Vast Open Field

Stare down at my aunt’s farm. The highlight was the barn owl who took over over our heads. ❤️ . I’ve mentioned to my Georgia friends how trees just aren’t what I grew up with in North Texas. Several looked at me unbelievingly. You just don’t get the Great Plains until you’re in them. So flat. Empty. Open. . And I didn’t appreciate the openness until we moved to the hills and trees. Now I see the openness and love every sunrise and sunset because usually I can’t see them through all my trees. . Why do we always wish for something else until we don’t have it anymore? Love where you are - because one day you might not be there anymore! . I still love my trees though. 🌲
