Vast Open Field
Stare down at my aunt’s farm. The highlight was the barn owl who took over over our heads. ❤️
.
I’ve mentioned to my Georgia friends how trees just aren’t what I grew up with in North Texas. Several looked at me unbelievingly. You just don’t get the Great Plains until you’re in them. So flat. Empty. Open.
.
And I didn’t appreciate the openness until we moved to the hills and trees. Now I see the openness and love every sunrise and sunset because usually I can’t see them through all my trees.
.
Why do we always wish for something else until we don’t have it anymore? Love where you are - because one day you might not be there anymore!
.
I still love my trees though. 🌲
