Up Close with Birds at Wildlife Rescue

New adventure in #wichitafalls with the #wildbirdrescue with the grandparents. Small place with lots of love helping our great birds. They only keep the ones who can’t be released due to injury and use the rest to educate. Morticia the vulture was on a leash and said a personal hello to M’s hair at encouragement from her trainer. And lots of giggles from my kids ;) They brought out the American kestrel when we told them of our reading My Side of the Mountain to surprise us all with how small he was... and so pretty. We were also up close to the red tailed hawk! Screech, barn, and barred owls completed the collection today. We do love our bird matching game and seem to find all kinds of bird opportunities.
