Below it on the left, the cover of 'Ban This Book' by Alan Gratz displays a young girl standing among stacks of books, reading. The bottom right cover is for 'The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry' by Gabrielle Zevin, featuring a plain background with text. The covers suggest a mix of genres including young adult fiction, fantasy, and literary fiction.

Recent Book Discoveries

It’s been a busy month for my Scribd account so far... and these books are too good to not tell you to read them. And none that I had ever heard of before I accidentally found them. 1) Blue Castle was so lovely. Her writing is beautiful, and it was just so sweet. 2) Ban This Book is a spunky YA book for book lovers. Great for kids... but one book is banned in her list because it talks about sex. That’s all she says about it but still... so maybe for older kids. Loved it. 3) The Unwanteds is another YA but a series this time. I’m on #3. Dystopian meets magical. Fun and clean. My 11 year old has been introduced. It has been compared to Harry and Hunger Games combined. Fun. 4) and The Storied Life is a grown up book. But clean. Could be a YA book. Another book about books. He’s a bookseller. I’ve listened to several podcast lately about young adult novels and how it’s okay to read them as adults. So I give you permission ;)
