Planning from Behind in Homeschooling

This keeps coming up IRL… so it’s time to teach and remind you here. 👇👇👇 You need to do more… ⭐️Planning from behind ⭐️ The younger homeschool moms in my real world circle don’t know. And we all definitely need some @juliebravewriter wisdom. ❓What does it mean to “plan from behind”? It means that instead of spending hours of planning everything you’re going to do as a homeschool mom… (You know we tend to enjoy this. More than the doing?…) You write it down after it happened. 👉Observe your homeschool kids 👉And note what they’re naturally learning. Change your view of home education. You will realize just how much they’re learning in their every day unstructured learning. You just have to get out of the way 🤩 When I was winning at this, I kept a lot of lists 🌳Nature days and outside time 🚙Field trips and day adventures 📚Books read - a long library list! 🎥Movies and documentaries 🧩Games and computer time 🥣Cookies baked and suppers prepared ✅Anything counts when you look at everything as some form of learning. My homeschool teens now actually have weekly schedules with our Classical Conversations homeschool, and life definitely looks busier. Wise older homeschooler here. ‼️Listen up, busy mom of littles ‼️Relax and have fun now. Quit doing so much! Tell me… What was the wisdom that changed your mom life? Let’s learn from each other! 👇👇👇 . . . .
