Marsh Exploration Class
Our marsh class made good use of our boots as we vibrated periwinkle snails out of their shells, looked for fiddler crabs, and found a terrapin. You know these are so good counsellors when one greeted the turtle with “Hey, Baby” ;). He even had us sample a marsh pickle - aka salty plant that did really taste like a pickle.
Some applied a fierce mud mask and when one has on a mask, one must yell at the other half of our group their tribal chants with some dancing. Of course!
I’ve thought many times these last two days that these leaders have applied their college degrees and gotten a lot more out of their classes than I ever did. And it’s obvious they love sharing their knowledge. What a great example to our animal living kids of what they could do when they grow up.
