Reclaiming Wonders
A chaotic and whimsical child's bedroom filled with vibrant colors, patterns, and a sense of adventure. The unmade bed is a jumble of mismatched bedding, including patterned sheets, plush blankets, and scattered pillows. A wooden crib-style headboard stands at one end, adorned with a metal sign reading 'ADVENTURE' and wolf silhouettes, hinting at a love for the great outdoors. Fairy lights twinkle along the wall, casting a warm glow over the cozy space. A framed wolf print hangs nearby, further emphasizing the nature-inspired theme.

Kids' Day of Adventure and Imagination

Kid work trumps school work. The bedroom is a disaster. Today I’m going with it. . . Three kids made it together. His in their tent and played a new game. And talked about it all day. They went in the forest later and worked on their fort. This was one of those days where being kids is more important than “doing school.” . . We read books, did math sheets, did a gabillion map puzzles, cooked meals together, started our paper for co-op, and did science fair... but 90% of the day, they played. . . In the world’s eyes, it would look like a waste. I feel like in most homeschool mom’s eyes, it would have looked that way too. But for us... I’m calling it a win. . . Let’s work on changing our perspective. It still counts. It’s okay.
