Keeping Kids Happy on Family Trips with Scooters and Skateboards
Mom travel trip #7355 to keep the crazy kids happy… Scooters.
They fold up. They don’t take up a lot of space. And they allow a sense of risk and danger. What kid isn’t yearning for a bit of that on your family vacation?
If you’re heading out in the car on a road trip, think about throwing the scooters (or even skateboards!) in the trunk with some safety gear.
Remember that they’re still wiggly kids! Even the grumpiest kid will stop complaining about their boring how museum day - if you let them be a kid for a little bit. Google a skateboard park… or maybe just head to a park with sidewalks. Let them get out their energy from their well-behaved, calm activities they endured. It’s better to wear them out here than in the hotel when they’re all trapped together with neighbors!
Not to mention, you can always threaten to withhold it if they don’t behave. “Stop running around the art museum or I don’t take you to the park!“ just kidding. I would never do that. 😂
👉Are your kids team skateboard or scooter? Or maybe team “both scare me to death”? 😉
