Inside Spanish Fort Castillo de San Marcos

#castillodesanmarcos in #staugustine was our main stop today to discover the Spanish side of the story. We stood on the walls to watch a dolphin, watched a video about cannons and guns, looked at the design, and learned about the fort’s role in colonization and the American Revolution. They even used in the Spanish quest for gold and Mayans and Aztecs like #classicalconversations discussed last week! Tying it all in. And so many new things to look up. An impressive place to last this long!
