Reclaiming Wonders
The image shows a historic wooden mill building surrounded by lush fall foliage. The main structure is a two-story log cabin-style building with multiple windows and a pitched roof. Adjacent to it is a smaller log cabin structure, potentially a water mill. A wooden footbridge connects the two buildings, spanning over a small creek or river. The scene depicts a picturesque autumn landscape, with vibrant shades of orange, yellow, and red leaves on the trees. A woman is sitting on a rock in the foreground, admiring the scenic view. In another image, a man is carrying a young child, both looking at an informational sign about the mill. The third image provides a close-up view of the mill building, showcasing its rustic charm and intricate log construction.

Historic Mill in Autumn Scenery

We stopped at the still working mill which of course wasn't working today. Genius I thought. In 1880 they built a dam on the little creek and then funneled the water down to smaller tube to increase the water pressure which then travelled via aqueduct -type thing to fall downs chimney to further increase the pressure,"... Then under the mill to turn an enclosed system which cranked up to the mill and then the flour sorter... Nerd right? That was 150 years ago! Genius I still say. Otherwise known as cool old wooden building on a river surrounded by beauty. Or as the kids thought "Let's see if Mom notices we're getting wet!" No one had a nap today... We were surviving ;)
