Family Learning About COVID-19 Pandemic
Mom win. An epidemiological Coronavirus study has taken over our school room. The wall map (aka fancy shower curtain) has the affected countries marked, totals for the US and world were marked and remarked, and predictions have been made of safest and highest risk countries. .

After discussing that this is to be treated with respect and that people are dying.... we looked at the decrease in pollution over China since this has started, looked at the stock market drop and discussed why, talked about all the goods from China, discussed all the rates... and they took off. I left and they kept going for at least an hour and said it was going to be their daily project. It had better be because this mom has a list of other stuff to talk about ;)

And they haven’t been that into an activity in a long time. Harmony. Peace. And then the peace was shattered and tears came and the morning’s awesomeness was overshadowed. Real world after all. And lots of opportunity for sibling frustration.
