Family Fun at the State Fair

A definite day of firsts! First state fair - they don’t remember the last. 🎪 . First water sports show. First circus. First giant animal barn. First camel feeding. First funnel cake. First pig race. And some cute baby animals. . First of so much. . We also watched a magic show, roamed the quilt and art show, enjoyed a great bird show, toured the 9/11 tribute bus, pet some bunnies and big animals… and met with some firefighters who took us on the fire safety bus for some life lessons. Didn’t ride a single ride. Ate within reason. My frugal kids were okay with it - and we still had so much to do! . Honestly, there was not as much “farm” as I expected, but a great time was had by all. Poor Daddy had to experience second-hand when we got home. . Just go. Seeing and hearing the delight from their perspective of firsts made the late night drive home from the Georgia National Fair well worth the sweat, money, and effort. And wear your awesome matching tie-dye shirts so you don’t have to add lost child to your list of firsts 😊
