Family Bonding on the Move

M said, “I’m ready for the car...” Aka. We have rode on trains and ferries and small boats and busses and subways and even airplanes. It’s fun while it lasts, but sometimes you just want to be just us. Not squeezing in next to someone or avoiding all eye contact because you’re way too close to the other person. Or squeezing that little hand so you don’t get separated. We are so grateful for our quiet country home with our messy car that drives on our schedule... that we don’t even have to worry will leave without us. And I do wonder at what time I will stop putting us on the subway at rush hour. And why everything closes at 5-530.. Tourists are still here. And there are plenty of us! And look at that cute Daddy. Couldn’t do it without him.
