Family Adventure at Arches National Park
#juniorranger at #archesnationalpark today with one of the most crowded national parks we have gone to this trip... and it was nice weather for it. I can't imagine hiking this desert in summer! Our one trip ended up with five barefoot Baggetts, squeezing through sandstone walls like Indiana Jones, and scrambling along rock to see an arch. The kids enjoyed looking for the arches and different formations... but it was pretty short lived. The whole area was different and interesting and a whole different color than the other trips with the red rocks. It seems my kids want to climb. Not go on trails but straight up rock faces. These national park rules don't make them very happy ;). Limited time here, but check. Been there done that. #homeschoolperks only kids in the park. I asked them at the hotel this morning if they wanted more time to explore or to Halloween... they all voted for the park. And then kept asking about trick or treating..... you'd think that when you costume weekly the actual day wouldn't be as a big a deal! This was better ;)
