Exploring the Vastness of Loch Ness
The drive past Loch Ness and seeing how big it is... that’s when C declared, “No wonder they can’t find the monster!” The “lake ness monster” as the kids call it. 750 feet deep with continuous possibilities. We read about the monster in preparation. It was good for them to have something to plan for... even if this was it.
So the hubs and I were here eight years ago... I don’t think I truly “saw”. I was there yes. I couldn’t have told you how big it was or what the land looked like or the town... just the tacky souvenirs in the gift shops with Nessie on them. Heck, I don’t think I had a clue what we were getting into and didn’t research or look at a map or anything.
This five-years-homeschooling-mom laughs at that woman... who was she?! Teaching your kids opens your mind and teaches you so much... My eyes were closed to the world for way too long... and I didn’t realize it...
