Exploring Historic Mining Ruins

My family has spent summers in Creede for years. My kids are now the fourth generation so we had to show them all the places. We drove up to see the original mining ruins which started the town more than a century ago. Mines placed straight up the mountain . The kids weren’t in a museum mindset, but we did get to walk into the old mining area for a woodcraft show and to see the rock museum. We took home some treasures and some kids who need wood carving equipment... New hobby? . PS: Also where the filmed some of the latest Lone Ranger scenes with Johnny Depp.
