Embracing Field Trip Adventures

Field trips. They’re my specialty! . 🌸 Curriculum money? Nah. Give me memberships. 🚙Latin for your six year old? I want more time for exploring. ⏰9-3 school day for five days a week? Let’s do some “schoolwork” on the weekends so we can adventure on Fridays! . . Skip the worksheet about maps and go geocaching. Don’t read that boring textbook about animals. Go to the zoo, see them, smell them, watch them play and parents, and read about them on their plaques. Read the books about Jefferson, but then go see his house and learn about the man. . . Let’s fill all those museums and zoo and national parks with our families. And show all the places that we need family friendly museums and that we can be trusted. Wouldn’t it be great if the docents didn’t feel the need to hover and smirk, but welcomed and laughed? . I’ve been tagging places we go with hashtags. When you go on a special trip, tag it with #georgiafieldtrips or whatever state you’re in. If we all did this together, we could help each other find awesome adventures! . . I love seeing everyone’s adventuring. Keep them going!
