Embracing a Flexible Homeschool Routine
Homeschool rebel confession time. 🙋♀️
We played bingo with the church seniors this morning instead of sitting at desks.
👏🏻Mom chose relationships over check lists.
👉My homeschool kids don’t have a schedule….
Our homeschool family has a routine. Days of the week that things always happen.
With a side of spontaneous.
❓But a structured check list for the day?
❗️Nope.
However, my homeschool kids are surviving.
👉Because schedules aren’t the end-all, be-all of life.
✅And making cake for the bingo pot luck is way more fun than math.
Remember, homeschool family, you chose to keep them at home to be different.
🔹Let them stay up later with Dad for TV and cuddles.
🔹Let them sleep in because they had a late night at choir practice.
🔹Let them skip math for the day to meet friends at the park.
🔹Let them declare a rest day because you don’t have a good reason not to.
😉No refrigerator schedule posted was needed.
This ten year homeschool mom says…
👉Don’t stress the day by day. Please.
👉See the big picture.
👉Remember what’s really important.
Most of the time, those “school essentials” are just because the “real school” says they’re important. But are they really?
👋Homeschool rebels! Tell me hi.
😉Life points if you tell me what you didn’t do today. 🥳
