Dinosaur Bone Fossil Wall

#juniorranger at #dinosaurnps for our first national park on the extended drive home. I remember this from my childhood, but it's even more impressive understanding as a grown up. I didn't understand that this wall of dinosaurs used to be a flat river bed which was raised during land changes to tower above us. Armed with the drawn out bone map, we picked out different bones and discussed all things dinosaur! Did I mention this usually overly crowded park was ours alone today?! Off season travel. We hung out in the Dino quarry at least an hour as the kids chatted up the ranger, worked on their booklets, and talked it all through. Our ranger said, "I love questioning minds!" Fun learning.
