Reclaiming Wonders
The image depicts three young children sitting on a floor, engrossed in an activity involving a laptop or tablet device. One child is wearing a tie-dyed dress and appears to be operating the device, while the other two children, one wearing a plaid shirt and the other a patterned top, are leaning in and closely observing the screen. The scene suggests they are likely engaged in some form of educational or interactive digital experience. The overall setting seems to be a classroom or learning environment, with lockers or cabinets visible in the background.

Compassion Experience: Raising Awareness for Global Poverty

The kids don’t remember (it seems) the last Compassion event we attended, so obviously I need to make it a more frequent occurrence. . We learned about life in Kenyan poverty, food portions, and lacking food and safe water while walking through a tent and watching video on individual phone sets. It made it more real to see and hear the stories as told by a now grown up who once lived through it. . I don’t know how much the littles got out of it, but M stood next to me while I asked the event coordinator questions I should have asked years ago when we started supporting our child in Haiti. She was at least interested ;) . So this was a Compassion experience. There’s also the journey we did last time that was bigger. Both good for kids and us all to understand our world a bit better. Look up when there’s an event coming to your area.
