Classical Conversations Writing Progress

Prompt day 15: writing for #backtohomeschool2020 ... . . This is my second kid to be going through Essentials with Classical Conversations using IEW’s writing style. And he has an amazing tutor at CC - moi ;) . . I dreaded teaching him last year. He’s been a bit behind on reading, always refused to write anything, and started last year not even knowing the top of a piece of notebook paper. And slowly last year, I got him to write more and become more independent. This is only the first week this year, and he’s already doing more than at the end of last year. . . After four years of Essentials, I’ve started saying that If we had to drop out of CC, I would try to stay in Essentials as a priority because the grammar and writing really are so good! . . Here’s another year of getting better one step at a time... And reinforcement that I didn’t mess him up permanently by waiting until 4th grade to work on these things. ;)
