Reclaiming Wonders
The image depicts three young children standing close together and facing away from the camera, their backs visible. They appear to be admiring something in the foreground, though it is not captured in the frame. The child in the center has long, curly blonde hair that has been partially dyed or streaked with vibrant shades of blue. She is wearing a blue t-shirt. The child to her left is wearing a patterned blouse with tropical flowers and foliage printed on it, along with denim shorts. The child on the right is dressed in a pale green t-shirt and denim shorts. They are surrounded by lush greenery, suggesting an outdoor setting, possibly a zoo or nature reserve. A wooden railing or fence is visible in the foreground, indicating they may be observing animals or exhibits beyond the frame.

Children's Day at the Zoo

#athensgeorgia today for the #bearhollowzoo Free zoo. Small zoo. Neighborhood zoo for rescued animals with owls, Black bears, bald eagles, turkeys, and their new favorite... an otter who entertained with back flips and swimming tricks. Despite the complaints minutes before of me daring to take them places I knew little about and how they would rather be home... they admitted they enjoyed it. How fickle is the child. And then, real life came back... and they got in the car and commenced the one hour inability to stop talking and drive their mother crazy... to which said anonymous Mom came home with a raging headache and hide in her room for the rest of the evening. And take some rarely used drugs. And be thankful for big houses where punished children can be hidden. And Mom can pretend it was a worthwhile use of her day... only to go back and do it again... Let’s not forget the much loved Bluetooth headset at home next time a day trip happens. Aka my sanity... I should give her a name since I seem to have to hide later when she’s not around... when I need her... I could have turned on Hamilton in the car and all would have been great. I would have most likely been better. But then what kind of lesson is it that when you’re disobedient and won’t stop talking that you get rewarded with Hamilton? Quiet means quiet. Eesh.
