Reclaiming Wonders
A family of four is posing for a picture in front of a festive holiday tree adorned with metallic and colorful ornaments. The tree is made up of branches and greenery, with ornaments of various shades of silver, gold, and blue hanging from the limbs. Two young children, a boy and a girl, stand at the front, while their parents, a man and a woman, stand behind them, all smiling. The boy is wearing khaki pants and a striped shirt, while the girl is dressed in a bright pink outfit. The parents are casually dressed, with the father wearing a navy blue shirt and pants, and the mother in a purple top and dark pants. The family appears to be enjoying the holiday season together.

Celebrating Diverse Holidays in Homeschool

Help a girl out. Expand my horizons. Please. šŸ˜ƒ . When I search ā€œholiday planningā€, all I get is Christmas ideas. So hereā€™s a tree to inspire you. . What holidays should I add to our homeschool curriculum? . Iā€™m trying this thing called ā€œplan aheadā€ which means I have to have dates on my calendar to get library books on time. And, if my kidsā€™ choir Christmas song says ā€œHappy Kwanzaaā€ too, she should know what sheā€™s saying. . . Flag Day. MLK Day. Regular holidays. Got them. . I want to figure out how to teach my kids what it means when Jesus goes to the tabernacle for Passover. Or what it means when they mention Ramadan on the news. Or even just have a Veteranā€™s Day plan. . . Iā€™d love to hear what holidays you make sure to mention or celebrate and how you do it. Even if itā€™s just National Playdoh day šŸ˜‚ . . Hit me! And thanks in advance.
