Ark Encounter Trip Planning Tips
Top tips for a family trip to see the Ark in Kentucky. 🚙🚢👏🏻
Great decision! It’s fabulous.
You’ll have a great time. But…
The Ark Encounter is a huge place.
❓I had so many questions before our visit.
👉Let me help you plan your Ark vacation.
❗️The Ark reports 1 million people per year and approximately 7,000 per day. There’s a back-and-forth ramp to get on the Ark like at Disney. With one main door.
Yes, it’s a BIG boat, but it has narrower areas that get congested.
Avoid busy seasons.
Or go on the weekend.
This homeschooler says:
🤩Go during the school year and pull the kids out for a long weekend. You’ll get so much more out of it, and fewer crowds make you calmer to stay longer!
Everyone starts on the bottom floor and works their way up. However, you can walk the ramp back down to see lower exhibits or to rush ahead to the top. Outsmart the crowds.
1️⃣Get there first thing at opening
2️⃣Or go to see:
🎤Amazing presentations
🦘Animals at the zoo
🛝Play on the playground…
3️⃣Then head to the ark.
You should know though, this is a heavy walking day. Don’t plan on “hopping over” to see a talk then go back to the Ark.
👍The good: lots of space to spread out and see different places.
👎The bad: everyone will end up at the Ark eventually.
I have so much more to say on how to see the Ark. Head to the blog post “Ark Encounter: Everything You Need to Plan a Trip {2023}” linked up top.
👉Or ask away!
I’m full of too many opinions. 😜
❓If you’ve been, how crowded was it?
Despite this, put it on your list. You’ll never look at Noah the same way. ❤️
