Save and share this post for when you or a friend need to build & extinguish a campfire. šŸ“Ø šŸ•ļø Location: Choose a spot at least 15 feet from tents and clear a 10-foot radius of debris. šŸ‚ Materials: Gather dry sticks, logs, and tinder like dry leaves or paper.Ā  ā›ŗļø Building: Arrange tinder and build a teepee or log cabin structure around it.Ā  šŸŖµ Lighting: Ignite with a match or lighter, adding larger logs as the fire grows.Ā  šŸŖ£ Supervision: Never leave the fire unattended; keep a bucket of water, sand, or dirt and a shovel nearby. šŸ’¦ Extinguishing: Let the wood burn to ash if possible, then douse with water, starting from the edges and moving inward, stirring the ash with a shovel until all embers are out. ā™Øļø Site Check: After extinguishing, ensure ashes are cool; disperse them over a larger area away from the campsite. šŸ§¹ Clean Up: Remove any remaining sticks or debris from the fire ring area.
