The Power of Female Friendship

This gigantic smile that you see👇🏼 Is not only from a LOT of hard work on myself over the last few years, but because of these women in my life who are incredibly inspiring, genuine, open, supportive and tough as hell. I can’t say I’ve had very many friends at one time over the last several years. Anxiety, insecurity and uncertainty kept me isolated to my work and my house most of the time. But something happened in tandem with my own personal work and my serious longing and need for female companionship. What I’m trying to say is, there is absolutely nothing that can replace strong female friendship. It can be hard and scary and seem impossible at times. I think part of it is the wanting and the intention to get that, and the other is some work to actually make it happen. I had to take it back to childhood and ask- do you want to play? (Hike) Do you want to have a sleepover? (Camp) If you feel like you’re missing this in your life, I’m rooting for you. I’d love to be your friend, even surrogate while you find people in close proximity to you. Most women in these pictures met on this app. It takes some bravery and discomfort, but it’s completely possible and available to anyone and everyone 🫶🏼
