Embracing Life as It Is

Send this to someone who needs it 😌 I think it’s feeling the cool fall air rolling through in the evenings & the 10 days of camping away from the noise. The changing of seasons when many things in nature stop or drastically slow down And I’m always thinking about hustle culture because it’s all over this platform, and the way that we’ve been taught that if you’re not hustling personally; professionally; physically or mentally, you’re doing something wrong. Your lazy. You don’t care about yourself. Which is absolutely absurd! There is so much that plays into this. Whether is familial generational or cultural guilt, a literally physical need to be aroused (flight mode), andor just messages we get every single day. It’s all BS. We live in a society that requires systems and work and money or course. But the constant messaging and internal need to push is not necessary or natural. Our ancestors were stuck in flight or flight because of physical dangers. I think a lot of us are stuck in flight or fight because of big or little T traumas, our internal dialogue telling us we have to be better, the best, the thousands of tiny messages we’ve gotten every single day of our lives telling us we need to be and do more What if for today, this weekend, just a few minutes, we just stopped. Just breathed into the fact that we’re totally fine just the way we are in this moment? No other living being on this planet pushes to be different or better than it inherently is. Maybe it time we follow suit? . .
