Painting My Bike Myself

Would you go through the trouble of painting your bike or just make sure you bought a bike in a color you loved?! šŸŒˆ I was pretty set on the @ridecannondale Topstone One and it only came in silver which.. clearly Iā€™m a bright color girly. I intended to have it painted in the winter once gravel race season was over but I got SO impatient. Places that painted bikes either had a 4-6 week turnaround time, OR they charged $1000+ to paint the frame so, I did it myself šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø @spray.bike makes paint specifically for bike frames, and they come in the most fun colors. I chose the color Quasar and itā€™s the richest, prettiest pink! Honestly, I learned so much about my bike from taking it apart and putting it back together but I did have to take it to a local bike shop @bravenewwheel to thread new cables, and Iā€™m sure they had to adjust a ton after I put it back together myself lol. Overall this job cost me around $400 in labor and equipment, and about 12 hours of work so.. I think next time Iā€™d be more patient and have it professionally done The experience was SO fun! Iā€™m curious.. would you ever consider painting your bike?
