The Importance of Authentic Living
Sometimes the grass is greener on the other side because it’s artificial turf. -
It’s better to be unnoticed and authentic than celebrated and synthetic. I know it’s hard to believe in a world that celebrates “authenticity” but often times this authenticity is staged. -
I’ve seen it first hand so many times. Well do shoots that are “candid” or do certain things that “seem more authentic” in an attempt to fake authenticity. The problem is, oftentimes it works and perpetuates a culture of fake authenticity. -
Authenticity is almost a buzzword in marketing these days. Everybody wants to know how to be more relatable and real with their fans and customers. Here’s an idea... -
Actually be real. -
Does that mean showing some screw ups? Does that mean owning up to mistakes? Does that mean potentially damaging a reputation? Yes yes and yes, however the people that stick with you throughout it all are true friends, followers, and customers. -
Keeping up a fake or exaggerated persona is exhausting and quite frankly alienates the people you actually should be hanging out with. Never sacrifice yourself for money, fame, friends, or stuff. It’s not worth it and most times the grass is fake anyways. -
Be blessed and stay stoked😎🤙 - •
