The Danger of Living for Outrage

Offense is not trendy. - We live in the age of outrage where it’s actually encouraged to take offense at things. In fact, if you don’t take offense, something is wrong and you’re considered heartless. But it’s not just taking offense for ourselves. We’re also encouraged to be offended for others. - Why is it considered a moral superiority to be offended? Because it places the blame on someone else and we don’t have to take responsibility for ourselves. - The more we get offended, the more we have to check our heart. Why do we take offense to a statement? Yes it may be mean, but it’s usually due to a ingrained insecurity of our heart. - We weren’t born to live in insecurity, or fear. Being offended is not cool and finding ways to be offended, definitely is not healthy. The root of the issue is our own soul, longing for something to validate it, and every little statement against it is detrimental. Every one of us has a very fragile ego and are selfish by nature. - Please don’t live for others validation. You were born to be a light. - Be blessed and stay stoked 🤙😎 - • • • • • •
