Testing SLOG Colors on a Recent Project

Just a few frames from a recent project Abby and I did out here on Oahu. I’ve been really testing around recently with pushing SLOG colors by making my photo presets into luts. It’s been a super fun process and I’ve learned a ton. The final images you see are the result of all that effort. Here’s a few key tips. 1. Shoot as flat as possible whenever you can. These clips were shot in SLOG 3 on my @sonyalpha A7siii and HLG on my @djiglobal Mavic air2s 2. Don’t over expose the highlights. It’s ALWAYS easier to recover slightly underexposed than over exposed. 3. Learn how to use the vector scope. I’ve always used the histogram and RBG parade but I think implementing the vector scope has been a game changer! Also if you’re interested in checking out the photo presets these looks are based on, check out the link in my bio! Be blessed and stay stoked 😎🤙 • • • • •
