Pursuing Truth in a Drifting Society
The further a society drifts from truth, the more they will hate the people who speak it. -
There’s this concept of the drift. Basically it says that most changes don’t happen drastically, but over time. It’s a gradual chain of choices and decisions that ultimately after 10, 20, 50 years will manifest in a result much different from where you started. -
I feel like we’re in the midst of a drift from truth right now. Instead of seeking THE TRUTH people seek their truth because they don’t agree with a certain aspect of THE TRUTH. Unfortunately as a result, the standard has been lost and their is no longer a benchmark by which to go by, which causes all kinds of problems. -
When there are multiple truths, there are no truths, which is offensive to some. And when people are offended, they often become violent or at the very least display some sort of hatred towards the other side. -
What if instead of constantly chasing our preferences, we actually pursued the truth in its entirety whether we like what it is or not. The reality is sometimes the truth hurts, but that doesn’t make it any less true. -
Let’s strive to be the best versions of ourselves possible and not settle for the drift. The truth is out there and available but you have to be willing to look past your own preferences to find it. -
Be blessed and stay stoked😎🤙
