Palm Sunday Reflections
So it’s Palm Sunday and I can’t help but think about how we are so much like the donkey Jesus rode in on. -
For those of you unfamiliar with the story, essentially Jesus rose into Jerusalem during the largest Jewish holiday of the year. He was considered a threat to the establishment yet they laid down palms in praise of him. Instead of riding in in style he rode in on a donkey. It could have been a horse, an entourage, a Lamborghini, but he chose a donkey. -
The donkey was tasked with a job. He came from nothing but was appointed a divine purpose. As he was fulfilling his purpose, people cheered and clapped and just like us, he probably thought “man I’m a big shot. All this is for me”, when in reality it’s for Jesus the whole time. -
The applause is not for us, it’s for the one who gives us purpose. Point the praises up and the blessings will come down. Happy Palm Sunday! -
Be blessed and stay stoked😎🤙
