Overcoming Distractions: A Ruthless Pursuit of Your Dreams
It is harder than ever to live your dream.
I know that goes against the mainstream narrative that you can just post a few videos and boom boom bam you got a thriving business with barely any work. (Side note, if anyone is telling you that, don’t believe them). Let me explain.
We live in a world with constant distraction. Companies are vying for every square inch of your attention to sell you something, distract you here, waste your time taking this quiz, find out what Disney princess you’re most like. It’s never been easier to distract ourselves from the realities of life, and that’s how they want it. Heck the phone you’re looking at now was designed for that very purpose! People that are distracted are rarely a threat.
Theres a ruthless pursuit by whatever’s distracting you to get your attention, to take it away from things that are important like your relationship with God, your family, your dreams, etc. Because there’s such a ruthless pursuit to drive you off track, there has to be an even more ruthless pursuit towards the things that matter.
How you spend your time dictates what your life will look like. This means you have to institute a ruthless implementation of “no.” No I will not waste my time scrolling, no I will not fall into apathy, no I will not give up trying even though I just got rejected, no I’m not going out on a Tuesday because I’m not gonna QUIT ON MYSELF.
Distractions are relentless. You have to be even more so!
Be blessed and stay stoked 😎🤙
