How to Handle "I'm Already Working with Someone" Objection

You donât want to immediately go on the defense. Youâll destroy any trust youâve built.
Theyâll tell you how long
Then you sayâŚ
2ď¸âŁ âCool. How satisfied are with the results youâve gotten over the last {x time}â
Hereâs a secret. People donât like wasting time so they wouldnât be talking to you if they didnât think they could improve somehow.
Client: âitâs okâ
3ď¸âŁ âSo assuming price was the same who would you choose?â
Now youâre shifting the conversation from COST to VALUE. Assuming you have a better offer theyâll choose you.
4ď¸âŁ âAwesome what is it specifically about us that you feel is better?â
Now they start to sell themselves on hiring you. Typically the answer will be something around the results you get clients (assuming you pitch correctly)
5ď¸âŁ âTotally. It really comes down to the results at the end of the day. If your main concern is cost, then thereâs a lot of other cheaper options so weâre probably not the right fit. But if you are more concerned about results (which it sounds like you are) then thatâs why our clients are happy to pay a bit of a premium. And as youâve seen it definitely pays off.â

Well what if they say âwe want results and a deal LOLâ
6ď¸âŁ âhaha I totally get that. If you want that price I can match it but Iâd have to take away XYZ deliverables. So is it worth the risk to get less than ideal results or would you rather invest a little more to make sure you reach your goal.â
You want to be a little playful here while also communicating the message that your price is firm. In this case the deliverables you remove should be pretty integral to getting results so that the client understands the importance.
The thing is, this script only works if youâve taken the prospect through a whole sales process before this.
