How to actually get paidšŸ‘‡ šŸ“Œ You're gonna want to save this First off if you want to get free collabs thereā€™s tons of creators showing that, but this is how to actually make a living shooting for hotels based on my personal experience. 1. Learn how to make content that actually works. Learn the sales process of a typical resort and where they would potentially need different types of videos. HINT: they need to attract eyeballs, nurture eyeballs, and convert eyeballs into guests. This is where most creators go wrong. Making something that looks cool is one thing. Making something that makes someone want to go to the hotel is a whole ā€œnother ballgame. 2. Offer to shoot for free for 2-3 properties to get the ball rolling (ideally ones that obviously need help). Itā€™s not to get a free stay. Itā€™s to get a case study and testimonial of results for a real client. It is nearly impossible to get paid jobs without proof of results. (You wouldnā€™t buy something on Amazon with no reviews right?) Done 2-3 shoots? Great nowā€¦ 3. Over deliver Surprise them. Make something they didnā€™t ask for. Throw in a few extra deliverables. You donā€™t have to go crazy but any over delivering helps especially in an industry of entitled influencers. Finished a few shoots? 4. Ask for feedback Ask what the client liked about working with you, how they liked the content, what could be better etc. be prepared for them to be honest and it may not feel great sometimes but if you take the criticism itā€™ll make you better. Got a few example shoots, feedback and results? 5. Compile the client feedback, results and content you created into a case study (I have a video on my YT about this). This will be your claim youā€™ll use in future pitches. Donā€™t move on until you have 2-3, thenā€¦ 6. Reach out to potential clients and offer them a free strategy session to achieve their dream result (more bookings, lower ad cost etc) using your new case study as social proof. In the beginning expect 20% reply and 2-5% call booking rate. 7. Book some calls share the strategy, close deals, get killer results, and grow your business.
