Gratitude Over Entitlement

Entitlement leads to disaster. - We live in a culture that constantly tells us we deserve stuff. We deserve to be rich, we deserve to be married, we deserve to live the life of our dreams, we deserve to be respected, but nothing could be further from the truth. In fact we deserve nothing. Entitlement is a recipe for disappointment. - Disappointment is what happens when expectations don’t match reality. Entitlement is an expectation, and the way we counteract that is with thankfulness. - See although we deserve nothing Christ has blessed us immensely. Everything we have not to mention the opportunity for salvation is through His grace. We don’t deserve it but He gave it to us anyway. So when you take away the expectation of blessing and understand that the fact you even have anything is an immense blessing, it really starts to put things into perspective. - Entitlement kills the spirit, but gratitude lifts it. - Be blessed and stay stoked 😎🤙 - • • • • • •
