Finding Balance: The Dream vs. Burnout
Are you a slave to your dream? -
Full disclosure, there are times I personally feel like I am. Whoa I just heard a pin drop. This is a little different than the instagram GRIND GRIND GRIND and follow your dream until your haters ask for your autograph kind of narrative. This is real. -
Cause guess what? When you have a dream you want it be perfect and you will work yourself into a frenzy to get it perfect but it won’t ever be. So many dreamers burn out after 3, 6, 12, 24 months because of the level at which they have to perform for external success, but even more importantly, for their own egos, is at an all time high. -
The universal rhythm is to work 6 days and rest on the 7th. I know it’s difficult to do especially if you’re someone who is obsessed with progress like me, but if you go against the grain of the universe, don’t be surprised when you get a splinter. -
Rest is essential. Be inspired by your dreams but don’t become a slave. -
Be blessed and stay stoked 😎🤙 - •
