Embracing Criticism and Genuine Relationships

When people see you growing, the haters will come. - You will find quickly once you reach a certain level of success in your career, finances, relationships, and life in general that there are a few types of people. - 1. People that are jealous of what you are doing and will find any and every excuse to put you down even if it’s not relevant to the situation at hand and often in an attempt to make themselves look better. - 2. People who celebrate with you but have ulterior motives. They’re there for the clout or the experience and although may be hard to distinguish at first, their true colors will eventually show and will likely drop you at the first sign of decline. - And - 3. The people who celebrate with you on the wins and support you through your losses. - So if you have haters understand it’s a good thing. It means you are making moves and standing for something, obviously assuming what you are doing is good. It’s better to have haters than fake friends. - The goal is not to be liked by everyone. This is a tough one for me cause I’m a major people pleaser, but I’ve come to realize that if you are standing for something, not everyone will like you, and that’s ok. It’s when everyone does like you that you have to be careful and maybe reevaluate the company you keep. Be bold in your convictions and embrace the criticism that comes with haters. - Be blessed and stay stoked😎🤙
