Control Your Emotions
Don’t believe everything you think. -
Contrary to popular belief, emotions and feelings can be controlled. That doesn’t mean you don’t have them or have to suppress them, it just means that you have to be selective on which ones you act on. -
Your brain (which controls your emotions) was designed to take you down the path of least resistance as a protection mechanism. Therefore when you have certain emotions in certain situations, it is a natural reaction to keep you safe.
The fact is, you actually can, and often times should, choose which emotions to act on. Not everything you tell yourself is true. In fact most of it is not, it’s a worst case scenarios.
We tell ourselves stories all the time to talk ourselves into or out of things. Don’t always believe your own brain.
