Commitment to Your Dream

Most people have never thrown their whole weight at anything ever. - People ask me all the time how I get to do what I do for a living. Let me break it down for you. There’s a very small amount of people that are able to make a living off the internet, that can travel like I do all the time, that live in the most beautiful place on earth, and are stoked everyday to go to work. Why? - Most people have never put in the work for their dream. They say it takes 10,000 hrs of work to become an expert at a skill but people want it on credit. They do it for 2 days 2 weeks 2 months and then quit. They don’t read what they’re supposed to read work the way they’re supposed to work or do what they’re supposed to do yet they ask God to bless their inconsistency. They don’t see results immediately and they quit or even worse blame God for not showing up and doing a miracle in their inconsistency. - Let me tell you a quick story. I moved to Hawaii with $2000 total. Not $2000 in savings with some padding not oh hey mom can I get an IOU. $2000 total. I had a job for 2 days and was sleeping on a church floor. After that nada. - I got a job at the Hilton being a bell boy because I had to otherwise I’d go broke but at the same time I was spending money on ads to a Ecom store...my 5th one I started in 3 months. I had already lost $7k trying this Ecom thing and nothing was working but I was blessed on that attempt and it ended up taking off. I quit my job at the Hilton and went full time into photography. - I knew I wanted to be a travel photographer so I paid out of pocket and did free work on 4 international trips in my first year (2018). At one point I had less than $1000 cause I was spending every penny I earned on gear or travel or courses to make my dream a reality. - The point is I threw everything I had, my time, money, focus, into making this a reality. So when people ask how I get to do what I do now... it’s commitment and consistency. That’s it. I have posted almost every single day for the past 2.5 years. Consistency. I still do free shoots from time to time for networking. Commitment. - What are you willing to throw at your dream? - Be blessed and stay stoked 😎
