A person wearing a backpack and carrying hiking poles stands on a grassy hillside, admiring a breathtaking view of a pristine alpine lake surrounded by towering, snow-capped mountain peaks. The lake's vibrant turquoise hue contrasts beautifully with the rugged, gray peaks and verdant evergreen forests blanketing the slopes. The hiker appears to be taking a moment to appreciate the awe-inspiring natural scenery during an adventurous trek through this remote, untamed wilderness.

World Travel Adventures on Hold

Yesterday was kind of a tough day. After 7.5 months of carrying around and living out of this perfectly packed bag and embracing minimalism at its finest, I finally gave up on my hopes of continuing my world wide adventures and opened my storage unit to retrieve some “new” belongings. This bag took me across 6 countries and back home where I’ve continued to live out of it since April in hopes of being able to resume my worldwide backpacking trip. I learned how little I need to get by, how excellent of a planner I really am (it was so perfectly packed I lacked for nothing), and that plan b will be as much of an adventure as you make it. Covid has shattered dreams across the globe, but just because one dream ends it doesn’t mean we give up on dreaming. We simply pivot, plan, and breathe life into new dreams and learn to enjoy wherever the road of life takes us. 📸 @camilovsurf
