What are you grateful for today?
What are you grateful for today?
Me? I’m grateful for the memories that shaped me and for the fact that I dared to choose the life I wanted. Again. and again. Every time it changed, because it does.
Yesterday, on a solo hike, I had this realization: I’m not afraid of change, discomfort, the unknown, rough seas, challenges, chaos, being alone, the dark, or heights. I’m not even afraid of not knowing where I’m headed.
Those things are second nature to me—skills honed from growing up in a stormy environment where therapists over the years have often said, “Wow, you’re remarkably grounded for everything you’ve been through.” (Cool, thanks, I guess.)
But what I am afraid of? Stability. Roots. Staying. Routine. Leaning into peace. Letting myself reach my full potential. Giving myself a real shot to see what happens when I actually try—when I stop voluntarily spending time with people who drain my energy, focus, and heart so I have an excuse not to.
That’s where the edge is for me now: not just surviving but thriving. And for that, I’m deeply grateful.
What’s yours?
