Kym Wylder
A rugged SUV or off-road vehicle is parked on a vast, flat expanse of land, seemingly in a desert or arid region. The sky above is filled with dramatic clouds, ranging from dark and stormy to light and wispy. The vehicle is reflected in a pool of water on the ground, creating a mirror-like effect. The image conveys a sense of adventure and exploration, with the vehicle poised to traverse the rugged terrain. The surrounding landscape is barren and desolate, with mountains or rocky hills visible in the distance, adding to the sense of isolation and remoteness.

The Allure of Slow Road Trips

Can’t wait to get back on the road again. My biggest shift in personal travel preference the last 5 years is that I crave and savor slow travel vs zipping around flying everywhere, touching down for a minute and missing all the details. Going slowly, taking in the miles and small moments. Really getting to spend time to know a place intimately… that’s the kind of experience I’m after of late and road tripping offers it up with a side of views and fries. There is truly nothing more American than taking a classic road trip across the country. We’re gifted with so much spaciousness and and abundance of land, discovering it for yourself is rewarding. What are some of the best road trips you’ve taken so far?
