Prepare for Fall Hiking in Washington
Fall begins next week 🍁🍂⏰
🔖 save this for planning WA fall hikes!
Layers are the 🗝️ to fall comfort in the PNW -need proper rain gear, water proof 🥾, 🧤, beanies, a good puff jacket, rain jacket, rain cover for your bag, and mid layer- the weather can turn in an instant in autumn.
Pro tip: bring a thermos of a yummy hot Beverage to sip at your break.
Here are my top 8 favorite WA fall hikes for poppin colors:
1. Lake ingalls - larches
2. Blue lake
3. Maple pass loop
4. Colchuck lake

3. North cascades highway
4. Stevens pass, tumwater canyon and Leavenworth
📝Notable deciduous foliage you’ll see:
huckleberry, larch, vine maple, red alder, birch
Happy trails!
Remember to leave no trace - speaking of, check out @kulacloth to take with you so you don’t leave 🧻 behind. I take mine every hike AND to international travels because foreign bathrooms often charge for tp and/or don’t provide any. (Not sponsored- just really love them and they’re good for the environment and us)
